Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles marked the debut of its 2021 Home for the Holidays Designer Showhouse & Marketplace in Buckhead’s Paces neighborhood with the annual Moonlight & Mistletoe opening-night party, where more than 300 guests were treated to abundant seasonal fare by Avenue Catering Concepts and signature cocktails from Tito’s.
Publisher Elizabeth Ralls kicked off the evening with a celebration of the showhouse’s honorary chairs—Susan Bozeman of Susan Bozeman Designs, Liza Bryan of Liza Bryan Interiors, and Carter Kay of Carter Kay Interiors—as well as a toast to the event’s beneficiary, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Ralls also introduced the magazine’s new editor in chief, Lauren Iverson.
Developed, designed and built by presenting sponsor Dietrich Logan of Logan Design Group Architects and Logan Development Group, this year’s Home for the Holidays showhouse ushers in the season with a newly built English Regency residence situated on on a 2-acre lot.
The nearly 12,000-square-foot home—which has five bedrooms, five full baths and three half-baths—brims with symmetry, classical design and simplistic elegance. It also includes a seamless connection from the two-story great room outside to a loggia, pool and cabana, which is built in the same architectural style of the home and features an alfresco kitchen, two bar seating areas and a 72-inch fireplace. Atlanta-based Ballard Designs partnered with Suzanne Kasler to decorate the generous outdoor spaces.
Participating designers include Buffy Ferguson of Elizabeth Ferguson Design, who acted as the lead interior specifications design for the project, as well as Bradley Odom of Dixon Rye, who designed the primary bedroom, and André Jordan Hilton of JordanHilton Interiors.
