Designers gathered in the Century showroom during High Point Fall Market to celebrate the launch of Great South Bay, the new collection by Thomas O’Brien. The event, co-hosted by O’Brien and editor Clinton Smith, welcomed 250 market guests, including Dan Fink, Suzanne Kasler, Jesse Carrier, Kim Scodro and Mary McDonald.
The new collection is a tribute to the easy, relaxed elegance of coastal living. Inspired by his collecting around the world, O’Brien brings together the cultures of his favorite seaside places. In versatile, attainable designs, he expands on essential wicker and indoor-outdoor furniture with a range of unique and classic finishes.
“Thomas’s Great South Bay collection for Century was by far one of the most-Instagrammed moments from High Point’s Fall Market, but getting to experience the pieces in person at the cocktail party was really special for guests,” said Smith. “From the breadth of the collection—there were more than 100 pieces—to the attention bestowed upon the littlest of details, it is the epitome of art and craftsmanship.”
