ABOUT THE ROLE
Lawson Fenning designs and builds made-to-order furniture in Los Angeles. The Warehouse & Logistics Manager owns how that furniture moves — from the moment it arrives at our warehouse through the moment it lands safely in a client’s home.

This role leads logistics operations end to end: carrier and shipper relationships across our delivery network, claims resolution, the inbound international pipeline, and the daily rhythm of a clean, organized, well-run warehouse. This is a hands-on, working-manager position — you’ll set the standard for the warehouse team and work alongside them.

Success in this role is measured by carrier performance and claims recovery, receiving accuracy, warehouse organization and safety, and the speed and professionalism with which logistics issues are resolved before they reach the client.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN
Carrier & Claims Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for all carriers and third-party delivery partners.
Manage scheduling, routing, and performance across multiple carriers and shippers.
File and manage claims with carriers, following through on credits and settlements; oversee logistics billing and credit memos.
Own logistics-related client issues through timely, professional resolution, partnering with Production on claim-related order releases.

Warehouse Operations & Team Leadership
Supervise and support the warehouse team, providing direction and daily task management.
Oversee receiving of inbound merchandise and ensure accurate documentation of arrivals.
Own relocation and inter-location transfers between showrooms, warehouse, and fabricators.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment; refine processes around tagging, receiving, and weekly transfers.
Coordinate shared use of the warehouse photo booth with the Creative team.

Import & Trade Compliance
Own import/export logistics end to end — container shipments from origin to final delivery, customs documentation and compliance (HTS classification, Lacey Act, CUSMA/USMCA, certificates of origin), and parcel and freight coordination — partnering with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and international vendors.
Reporting & Cross-Functional Communication
Establish, track, and measure KPIs with logistics providers; prepare performance reporting for upper management.
Communicate proactively with Sales, Operations, and Production regarding incoming product and delivery status.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
3+ years in logistics coordination, warehouse management, or a related role.
Experience managing carrier relationships and resolving freight/delivery issues.
Prior supervisory experience is required.
Comfortable in a hands-on, physical warehouse environment.
Systems: Cin7 Omni (or comparable ERP), QuickBooks Online, Airtable, Google Workspace, Excel/Sheets; comfort working across carrier, freight forwarders, and customs portals.
Furniture, home goods, or related industry experience is a plus.
Los Angeles–based; on-site.

Glenn Lawson and Grant Fenning began their exploration as furniture design students at ArtCenter College in the late 1990s. They found Pasadena to be a welcoming place with its appreciation for the contemporary golden age of design. The pair took a studio space in Old Town Pasadena as their workshop to make new furniture and reimagine vintage pieces.

Today, the designer-maker duo uses simple forms with considered detail to merge nature's unparalleled beauty with the heritage of California craft.

The core of our brand is the LF Collection where form meets function. The collection is a study in purposeful materials and transformative designs; handmade in Los Angeles with the same family of fabricators we have worked with for over 20 years.

We complement the LF Collection with works of vintage design from the 20th-century and curated objects crafted by an inspiring roster of makers; limited-release ceramics, fine art, lighting, textiles, and gifts.

As a result, our two-story Melrose Avenue flagship showroom is a dynamic space that never quite looks the same from day to day. We keep our inventory moving so we can build an idea, collaborate and discover new artists.
