In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Researching and sourcing the latest trends and high-quality textiles from our domestic and international partners
- Developing and maintaining relationships with top textile vendors and suppliers
- Collaborating with our design team to select fabrics, trims, and materials that complement our furniture and lighting collections
- Providing expert guidance and recommendations to our sales team and clients on textile selection and usage
- Staying up-to-date on industry regulations, certifications, and best practices related to textiles

The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in a textile or interior design role, preferably within the luxury home furnishings industry (will consider recent graduates)
- Exceptional knowledge of fabric types, weaves, dyes, and textile manufacturing processes
- Strong client services skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities to effectively liaise with clients and the sales team
- A keen eye for design, color, and texture trends
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

Thomas Lavin is one of the youngest entrepreneurs in Los Angeles to successfully open, own and operate two interior design showrooms featuring the very best in high-end furniture, fabric, lighting and accessories from the United States and Europe. The success of his “boutique” owner-operated showroom is his ability to spot singularly designed, impeccably crafted home furnishings lines and luxuriously display them with contemporary art. Lavin also is dedicated to providing exceptional client service, which has won him a loyal following among L.A.’s most exclusive architects and interior designers who cater to the upper echelons of the Southern California population.
He opened his eponymous showroom on Beverly Boulevard in 2000, and in 2005 moved to a dramatic 11,000-square-foot showplace in the Pacific Design Center’s Blue Building. With a 2019 expansion, the showroom now measures 19,000 square feet and includes dedicated areas for accessories as well as a stand-alone showroom for French heritage brand Liaigre. To better serve his clientele in Orange County, San Diego and the desert communities, Lavin opened a showroom at the Laguna Design Center in 2014.
