The Territory Sales Representative – NY/NJ/CT position is a sales-focused role with administrative duties. It is customer-facing with a primary focus on driving new growth from the opportunities in the Tri-State area. The person in this position will be expected to be in front of customers and potential customers an average of 3-4 days a week. The remaining day will be spent in the showroom or home office. These client visits include presenting Verellen- its products and brand story; training on how to spec and order from Verellen; frame & materials trainings, in order to win and build sales. This candidate should be comfortable running meetings and making presentations.
The NY Atelier Outside Territory Sales Representative position covers a one-hour radius of NYC for A&D accounts in NY, No NJ, and CT. This position is a sales-focused role with some administrative duties. It is customer-facing with a focus on driving new growth as well as building existing relationships with accounts in the specified states. The person in this position will be in front of customers and potential customers an average of 3-4 days a week. The remaining time will be in a home office or furniture trade showroom base. These client visits include presenting our products and luxury furniture brand story; training on how to place orders; frame & materials training, etc., in order to win and build sales. This candidate should be comfortable running meetings and making presentations.
Both open positions duties include finding new business, driving sales; fielding incoming potential clients as well as prospecting for new accounts; processing any generated sales quotes through to the home office, assisting as needed in the local, luxury showroom. Following up on and facilitating any orders or questions. S/he will provide our clientele with the utmost in customer service and attention to detail in every interaction and transaction. The Territory Representative is responsible for all order tracking and follow-up, and persuasive communication skills. It is a plus to have experience in design. S/he will work hand-in-hand with the VP of Sales & Strategic Engagement, Regional Director, and CS team to achieve sales goals, growth in accounts base and overall sales, and help in identifying brand and sales opportunities for the company. S/he will work hand-in-hand with the VP of Sales & Strategic Engagement, Regional Sales Director, and the Sales & Showroom Director, and High-Point-based and NY-based CSR team to achieve sales goals, growth in account base and overall sales, and help in identifying brand and sales opportunities for Verellen.
Essential Functions
• Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and Calendar Management
• Provide each prospective client with an introduction to Verellen
• Generate quotes and sales orders for all clients
• Follow up on all outstanding quotes in order to generate sales
• Provide clients with updates on sales orders and production schedules
• Ensure all pertinent information regarding orders and quote status is kept accurate and up to date in our systems
• Cover showroom when Sales & Showroom Director is out, on an appointment, or otherwise not available
• Aid in all daily, weekly, and monthly reporting to High Point HQ
