Workstead is seeking a Studio Coordinator to serve as a central hub of our Brooklyn studio—supporting daily operations while helping to foster a welcoming, organized, and design-driven environment for our team and visitors. This role is the first point of contact for visitors and inquiries, setting the tone for the studio through a thoughtful and welcoming presence.
In addition to managing facilities and operations, the Studio Coordinator contributes to marketing, communications, and outreach efforts. This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, proactive, and excited to contribute to a collaborative, design-focused studio while growing within a communications-oriented role, with exposure to marketing strategy, content development, and brand positioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily office operations, including supplies, vendors, mail, deliveries, and general upkeep
- Maintain a clean, organized, and thoughtfully presented studio environment
- Serve as primary liaison for building management, IT, cleaning staff, and repairs
- Maintain organized records, documents, and studio files
- Greet and welcome guests, serving as the first point of contact for the studio
- Manage incoming calls and the main studio email
- Coordinate meeting logistics, including scheduling, setup, and refreshments
- Support marketing efforts, including drafting and producing content for website, social media, and newsletters
- Assist with project promotion, photography coordination, and asset organization
- Publish approved content and help manage the posting calendar
- Maintain and update contact lists and CRM systems to support outreach and communications
- Provide administrative support to studio leadership, including scheduling and travel coordination
- Support internal team needs, including coordinating schedules, meetings, and shared resources
- Assist with onboarding new team members and hiring initiatives
Skills and Attributes for Success:
- Bachelor’s degree in design, arts, business administration, or a related field preferred
- Professional demeanor with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Proactive and resourceful with a strong sense of accountability
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or WordPress preferred
- Understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn)
- Copyediting experience is a plus
- Prior experience in a receptionist, administrative, or similar role—ideally in a creative environment—is preferred
- Ability to work on-site in the Brooklyn studio five days per week

Salary:
- $60,000 - $70,000 annually
