Company: Meredith Ellis Design
Duration: Part-time
Date Posted: 05/27/26
Category: Writing & Editing
Location: Dallas
Salary: 50-100k
Job Description

We are looking for a talented, design-literate Content Producer & Social Media Manager to elevate the digital presence of our interior design brand. This is a part-time, in-office position based in Dallas, TX.
You will work closely with our principal designer to capture, create, and distribute content that authentically reflects her expertise, projects, and creative voice — across Instagram, Pinterest, and via a brand newsletter. You will also collaborate directly with our existing Event & Social Media Manager who supports our textile line and showroom, ensuring brand cohesion across all three entities.
This role is ideal for someone who is deeply passionate about interiors, has a strong visual eye, and knows how to translate a designer's world into content that connects.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities:

* Develop and manage a monthly content calendar for the interior design brand's social media channels (primarily Instagram and Pinterest)
* Capture behind-the-scenes content on job sites, photo-shoots, in-studio, and at industry events — phone/camera in hand
* Shoot and edit short-form video for Instagram Reels
* Write captions and copy in the principal designer's voice
* Produce a bi-monthly or monthly email newsletter
* Repurpose project photography and existing content across platforms
* Coordinate with our Event & Social Media Manager on cross-brand content and collaborative campaigns
* Monitor analytics and provide simple, clear monthly reporting on performance and growth
* Stay current on interior design trends, platform changes, and content best practices
Genuinely passionate about interior design, architecture, and the luxury home space

Prime Candidates are...
* A strong visual storyteller — you see content opportunities in everyday moments
* Comfortable writing in someone else's voice with consistency and authenticity
* Proficient in short-form video editing (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or similar)
* Familiar with Instagram, Pinterest, and email platforms (Mailchimp, Flo desk, or similar)
* Self-directed — you manage your time, meet deadlines, and don't need to be micromanaged
* Collaborative — you'll work closely with another creative and need to thrive in that dynamic
* Available to work in-office in Dallas, TX — this is not a remote position

Bonus points for...

* Experience managing content for a design, architecture, fashion, or luxury lifestyle brand
* Basic photography skills
* An existing portfolio of accounts or brands you've grown
* Familiarity with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite

About our Company

Meredith Ellis Design is a Dallas-based residential interior design studio founded in 2008 by designer Meredith Ellis. With nearly three decades of experience, Meredith brings a deeply considered point of view to every project — one rooted in classic proportion, rich layering, and a fearless embrace of color that never sacrifices timelessness.
Her work has taken her from Dallas to Washington D.C., Maine, Tennessee, and beyond, serving clients across the country who seek interiors that feel both curated and deeply personal. Her studio has been recognized by the industry’s most respected publications, including Veranda, AD, Traditional Home, Southern Living, Luxe, D Home, Paper City, and the Los Angeles Times.
Meredith’s influence extends well beyond the drafting table. She is the creative force behind an eponymous textile line whose initial collection pays homage to the Texas Hill Country and the rich visual and cultural landscapes that surrounded her in childhood — memories married with historical, travel, and nature-inspired references to create nuanced narratives with a fresh sense of whimsy. Her reach further spans a multi-city design showroom, JAMES, with locations in Dallas, Houston, and New York City, making Meredith Ellis one of the most multi-faceted creative voices in American design today.
At the heart of it all is a singular aesthetic: classic, layered, color-infused, and unmistakably timeless.
