Showroom Manager

Hooker Furnishings is currently recruiting a Showroom Manager to work in our Atlanta, GA showroom. Hooker Furnishings Corporation, in its 98th year of business, is a designer, marketer and importer of case goods (wooden and metal furniture), leather furniture and fabric-upholstered furniture for the residential, hospitality and contract markets.

The Position

We are looking for an outgoing, sales and design-oriented leader to maintain showroom operations and professionally represent Hooker Furnishing’s as a brand expert. This position will be based full-time in our brand-new Atlanta showroom located at The Mart (Building One) and reports directly to our Vice President of Marketing and Interior Design.

Main responsibilities include:
-Act as brand ambassador, subject matter expert and passionate member of the Atlanta design and trade showroom community
-Continually exceed customer service expectations of all clients, vendors, and other industry professionals that enter the showroom.
-Assist marketing/design department with daily administration, team projects, and daily organizational tasks.
-Act as the liaison between designers and sales team, utilizing outstanding follow-up skills to relay leads and contacts in an efficient and timely manner.
-Assist sales team with customer follow-up, inventory checks, and miscellaneous coordination.
-Establish and maintain accurate product inventory and maintain product pricing.
-Provide and train temporary showroom manpower as requested by in-house showroom designers.
-Establish relationships with local staffing agencies for these short-term labor needs.
-Oversee compliance of all company policies, procedures, and standards within the showroom environment.
-Plan, coordinate, and host special events in the showroom.

Candidates who will be a good fit will:
-Have previous sales and/or showroom management experience in the furniture, textile, or related industry.
-Bachelor’s degree desired, but relevant experience will be considered in lieu of education.
-Possess Exceptional written and verbal skills.
-Be able to think critically and adapt quickly in a flexible environment.
-Have exceptional time management skills and accountability.
-Possess a team player mindset with an ability to work collaboratively across the organization.
-Have strong computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
