Prelle's showroom, located in the heart of Greenwich Village, New York City, is seeking a dedicated Showroom Assistant to manage administrative functions, oversee day-to-day operations, and provide administrative support to the showroom manager.
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week). The ideal candidate will be a highly organized and efficient individual who excels at following procedures and taking initiative. We’re looking for a team player who is receptive to direction, dependable, and ready to step in wherever needed.
Job description:
- Provide administrative assistance to the manager, including helping to respond to inquiries, generating quotes, processing payments, ensuring the accuracy of customer orders.
- Offer detailed product information, such as stock availability, pricing, lead-times, and customization options to customers.
- Liaison with the team in France to request missing samples. Labelling and organizing them in our sample library.
- Taking care of the showroom to ensure it is organized, and client-ready.
- Helping with the decoration of the showroom, including setting up and taking down exhibitions or seasonal displays.
- Welcome and assist clients, providing professional customer service and detailed production information. Utilizing professional etiquette, rapport-building techniques, and customer service skills to support and guide clients.
- Coordinate and schedule pick-ups, deliveries, and appointments as needed. Handle occasional errands, such as trips to the post office, bank etc.
- Arrange and coordinate the shipment of samples to clients, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Trustworthy and Reliable: Capable of managing confidential information with the utmost discretion.
- Detail-Oriented: Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with phone systems and office technology; proficiency in Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Gmail, Calendar).
- Effective Communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively while adhering to internal procedures.
- Passionate: Genuine enthusiasm for luxury products and interior design.
- Client-Focused: Exceptional client service skills with a proactive and responsive approach to inquiries.
Summary
Hours are 9:15am-5:30pm.
