Role Overview
Flair | Archetype is seeking a full-time Interior Designer to join our office in New York.
Responsibilities:
Create comprehensive and innovative design concepts focused on interior design and strategic space planning. This includes thorough documentation to guide the design process and ensure clarity in vision.
Produce detailed sketches of initial design ideas and generate high-quality visual representations using advanced 3D modeling techniques. These visualizations will articulate the proposed floor plans, reflected ceiling plans (RCPs), elevations, and selections for furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E).
Design engaging presentations, mood boards, and material boards or binders that effectively communicate the aesthetic and thematic elements of the design concepts. These materials are essential for helping clients visualize the proposed look and feel of the space.
Develop precise design specifications and work collaboratively with project architects and project managers. This ensures that every aspect of the project aligns with the original design intent and is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Conduct in-depth meetings with clients to fully understand their project requirements. Provide expert guidance on various aspects of interior design, including effective space planning, selection of furnishings, materials, and color schemes, to create a cohesive and personalized design experience.
Requirements:
Over 5 years of professional experience in architecture and interiors, with a particular emphasis on innovative and aesthetically pleasing interior design.
Holds a bachelor’s or master’s degree in interior design or architecture, providing a solid educational foundation for creative and technical skills.
Extensive experience in residential design, demonstrating a deep understanding of the nuances involved in creating inviting and functional living spaces.
Proficient in a wide array of materials, finishes, and millwork design, as well as furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) selection, ensuring high standards in quality and aesthetics.
Comprehensive experience across all project phases, from initial concept development through to construction administration, facilitating seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
Exhibits strong organizational and time management abilities, adept at navigating fast-paced environments while effectively adapting to changing deadlines and priorities.
A highly motivated self-starter with meticulous attention to detail, committed to delivering exceptional results in every project.
Passionate about collaborating with design teams on high-end residential projects, fostering a creative and productive working atmosphere to achieve outstanding design outcomes.
