OVERVIEW: We are looking for an experienced senior designer with 5+ years of experience to join the Weeth Home team. This role will have significant creative input in the design process, and have autonomy to execute projects with the support of the Principal. Our ideal team member will have deep knowledge of residential construction, space planning, furnishings, as well as experience managing budgets, new build and renovation milestones, and client communication. We will need a designer who is comfortable spending time in the field, ensuring trades our executing our vision. Our senior designer will also share our love for thoughtful, layered design and delight in the details. We are a down-t0-earth, passionate team who cares deeply about our clients and one another. We are seeking a positive, detail-oriented and energetic leader whose fire is lit by creating beautifully layered spaces.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with the Principal Designer to drive the creation of residential design plans.
- Own projects from concept through final install.
- Generate conceptual design plans through thoughtful space planning, mood boards and material selections.
- Develop full set of drawings and elevations for cabinetry, millwork, tile/stone, plumbing, and other key materials.
- Create floor plans, elevations, and develop detailed documentation to aid in design execution.
- Manage material and FFE budgets against selections.
- Lead client presentations.
- Partner closely with trades and contractors in the field for precise execution.
- Bring new creative ideas through market research, sourcing trips, and design publications / editorial.
- Foster a supportive and collaborative environment where proactive communication, creative thinking and a strong sense of ownership is valued.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 5 years working as a designer at a residential interior design firm.
- Experience independently running design projects from start to finish.
- Strong technical background in creating plans, elevations and other documentation with AutoCAD, Chief Architect, Revit, SketchUp, etc.
- Detailed knowledge of finishes and materials across furniture, fabrics, lighting, plumbing and tile/stone.
- A love for interior design that’s driven by curiosity — you are always looking at new sources of inspiration.
- Organized and detail-oriented with schedules, emails, communication, drawings and presentations.
- Ability to travel as needed for projects.
- Ability to physically work on tasks including shopping, carrying samples, and pitching in on installation days.
