Lucy Doswell Interiors is looking for a Project Manager/Interior designer to join our Charlotte office. This is an in-person, full-time position offering healthcare, paid vacation and holidays. -Assist Principal with high end design projects from inception to final installation
-Manage project timelines, budget and installations; track purchases and custom orders
-Draft furniture plans, elevations and floor plans in AutoCAD
-Attend and/or run client and workroom design meetings
-Correspond with clients and vendors on a daily basis with excellent communication skills
-Create client proposals, vendor purchase orders and detailed work orders
-Create and manage finish schedules for paint, wallpaper, electrical and plumbing
-Assist with the creative design & overall project schemes; create client presentations and organize presentation materials
-Project manage job sites, contractors, subcontractors and installers
-In depth knowledge of the design centers, fabric & carpet resources, antiques and lighting vendors
-Travel where needed for client meetings and site visits; travel will be frequent
-Consistently and accurately track all costs and purchases for billing purposes and account reconciliation for bookkeeper
-Assist with office organization such as sample library filing & organization and maintaining client & vendor electronic files
-Assist with organizing project photoshoots
-Work with Principal to update and maintain company website
-Manage company inventory and resale of inventory

-Minimum 3 years of previous residential interior design experience
-Experience managing job sites & installations
-Knowledge of custom furniture design and ability to create detailed custom work orders
-Must be proficient in AutoCAD; ability to field measure and create CAD furniture plans when architectural plans are not available
-Proficient in Design Manager or similar design software
-Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, organization and follow through
-Ability to multitask on multiple projects and manage client and vendor relationships
-A problem solver with the ability to take initiative to keep the project on track with minimal supervision
-Can-do attitude and willingness to pitch in where needed
-Must be located in Charlotte and willing to travel frequently to various job sites around the country
