NYC Architecture and Interiors Studio seeks self-directed and organized individual to head growing interiors division. Position may be full or part time, will be a hybrid of in person and remote (local applicants only). Excellent communication skills and experience working with clients is required. 5+ years of experience is a must.
• Manage all aspects of the design process from research and ideation to creative conceptualization and design.
• Collaborate with team and clients to research and develop cohesive design plans & concepts.
• Lead project towards successful design and project implementation.
- Act as the interior design representative with clients and external subcontractors and contractors
- Present design recommendations & options to clients and management
- Act as a steward of client finances by monitoring client/projects budgets and placing orders
- Troubleshoot issues throughout design and implementation phases of project
- Assist in managing all aspects of projects from consultation to installation
• Create design and furniture layouts via Vectorworks
• Source hard materials, FFE and décor and pricing such items accordingly
• Creating Presentation Materials, including:
- Concept boards, tear sheets, slide decks
- Procuring & organizing samples for presentation purposes
• Onsite Project Tasks
- Survey existing spaces, measure on-site dimensions, document design characteristics, take photos for reference
- Site visits
- Supervision of Install
- Styling of Install
• General Design Project Management
- Obtain pricing and formal quotes on product, materials & textiles
- Creating & revising Specification Schedules (examples include: paint, plumbing fixture, appliance, and lighting schedules)
- Creating & maintaining product specifications
• General:
- Communicating with team members, contractors, clients
- Tracking of orders
- Maintain the organization of resource library
