We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented, outgoing, with a side of grit Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design, be eager to learn, and be willing to jump in immediately. You will be working in a creative, fast-paced environment. Music will be on, phone calls will be had while requesting help simultaneously. You will be responsible for overseeing the planning, design, and execution of interior design projects from concept to completion. You will work closely with a designer, contractors, and suppliers to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a strong understanding of design principles, project management, and client communication.
Key Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:
-Manage interior design projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and project objectives.
-Create, oversee, and edit project schedules.
-Coordinate and oversee the activities of the design team, contractors, and vendors.
-Ensure all aspects of the project, including design, construction, and procurement, are coordinated efficiently.
-Monitor project progress and help to resolve any issues or obstacles that arise during implementation.
-Help execute details pertaining to the design boards, floor plans, and design specifications.
-Ensure quality control and adherence to design standards and industry best practices.
-Help develop and fully manage project budgets.
-Oversee the procurement process for materials, furniture, and fixtures.
-Manage delivery and installation schedules to ensure timely project completion.
-Dropping fabrics and necessary items at workroom will be expected.
-On-site assistance will be asked. This will entail helping take notes, measurements, photographs or any details needed at the initial client meeting.
-Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
-2-3 years of experience in interior design project management or a similar role.
-Proven experience managing both large and small-scale interior design projects.
-Proficiency in AutoCAD.
-Strong understanding of design software (e.g., SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) is a plus.
-Exceptional organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Ability to manage budgets and financial aspects of a project.
-You must take what you are doing seriously, but if you take yourself too seriously, this job is not for you!
