Bird Dog Group is hiring a Project Coordinator to support our project management team across a portfolio of ground-up luxury custom homes in Charlotte. This is the connective tissue role: making sure selections land on time, purchase orders match the contract, subs show up with current insurance, and nothing falls through the gap between the design team and the field.
You'll own the selections and procurement calendar: tracking allowances against actual costs, chasing long-lead items before they become schedule problems, coordinating submittals and shop drawings with our architects and design partners, and keeping client decision deadlines visible and current.
You'll also support document control and project administration as needed: helping keep plan sets, RFIs, and change orders current in JobTread, and assisting with draw backup and closeout packages. You'll be in JobTread daily.
You'll be client-facing, handling weekly progress updates, selection reminders, meeting notes, and site walk documentation. Our clients are sophisticated, busy, and spending a lot of money on a very personal project; they need clear, accurate, unhurried communication.
We're a small team, working directly with the principals, and the scope you own will grow as fast as you can handle it.
- 2+ years in residential construction, custom home building, architecture, or high-end interior design — procurement, project coordination, or PM support
- Ability to read and navigate architectural plans, specifications, and scopes of work
- Demonstrated command of a construction or design management platform (JobTread, Buildertrend, CoConstruct, Procore, Studio Designer, Design Manager, or similar). We run JobTread.
- Strong Excel and Google Workspace skills
- Excellent written communication; you'll be drafting client updates and vendor correspondence unsupervised
- Highly organized, with strong follow-through
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; comfortable on active job sites
- Charlotte-based
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, interior design, architecture, business, or a related field preferred but not required; relevant experience carries more weight
