Our ideal candidate is an individual who has worked in luxury, made-to-order luxury upholstery. The candidate must have 5+ years of experience, having worked specifically with the production of custom upholstery. Candidate must be comfortable with occasional travel to High Point, NC. CAD & Microsoft office experience is required. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about luxury upholstery and the high-end furniture industry and is not afraid of pushing the design envelope and enjoys tackling new initiatives and challenges!
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Coordinate between Product Development Manager and Product Development team members manage new product development for High Point Market and other product initiatives throughout the year.
• Collaborate with team to meet product deadlines and provide communication for development projects
• Clear and effective communication with PD Manager, Plant Manager and Executive Management Team regarding product development deadlines, goals and projects
• Work with Customer Service and Product Development team to produce custom quotes & orders
• Participate with vendors when needed for development and feedback purposes
• Provide timely communication & order updates for Customer Service and Factory Teams
• Coordinate with PD Manager and VP Merchandising on new product samples for High Point Market in a timely manner
Job Requirements
SKILLS
• Experience in Upholstery Product Development and/or Upholstery Production
• Ability to work in both the creative as well as highly technical spaces
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings
• CAD experience necessary
• Strong communication skills
• Sewing Skills a plus
•Flexibility; ability to adapt to changing priorities easily
• Superior time management and organizational skills
• Interior design, industrial design or architecture background a plus.
• Supportive team player with a positive outlook and attitude
