Fennebresque Interiors is looking for a professional, organized and self-motivated Design Assistant who has 5+ years of residential design experience. Candidate must be good at multi-tasking, organized, energetic, eager to learn, and also be comfortable in a fast-paced environment. The Design Assistant will assist with all aspects of design development, sourcing, meeting preparation, technical drawings and maintaining sample library.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in interior design, design school or equivalent experience preferred
- 5+ years of residential design experience
- Proficient in AutoCad; proficiency in Studio Designer a plus
- Ability to navigate design showrooms, obtain pricing, reserves, also must have knowledge of trade resources and vendors
- Experience selecting and specifying lighting, furnishings, hardware, floor/window coverings, materials and finishes
- Experience with quotes, proposals, budgets, purchase orders and purchasing process
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Independently create full design concepts for projects based on Principal’s vision
- Prepare for presentations by creating mood boards, floor-plans and elevations
- Research new sources, products and materials
- Follow up with vendors on lead times and quotes
- Create client proposals and place orders with vendors once approved
- Maintain sample library
- Manage social media (IG) posting, website updates and photoshoots
- Assist on-site with installations
