We are looking for an individual residing in the Northeast US for an outside sales role for our NYC showroom, which includes brands Peter Dunham Textiles & Wallpaper and Hollywood at Home. Together these collections represent award-winning designer Peter Dunham’s offerings in fabric & wallpaper, furnishings, lighting, and accessories.
The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for integrating our offerings into their existing portfolio of non-competing lines, along with developing new business opportunities, managing existing accounts, and presenting product lines in partnership with our New York City-based showroom.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with interior design firms and other related design businesses.
• Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the assigned territory.
• Conduct in-person sales presentations and product demonstrations.
• Manage the full sales and production cycle.
• Maintain a regular schedule of customer visits and territory coverage.
• Position our product lines cohesively with others in current portfolio.
• Collaborate with our NYC showroom efforts and existing relationships.
• Attend industry trade events throughout the Eastern US.
Qualifications
• 3+ years of outside sales experience in the home furnishings industry.
• Existing portfolio of non-competing product lines; similar product categories are acceptable provided there is minimal to no direct market overlap.
• Strong relationship-building and customer service abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage a sales territory effectively.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory.
Celebrated interiors, textile, and furnishings designer Peter Dunham opened Peter Dunham Home & Garden, his first brick and mortar location in New York City in 2024. The showroom, located at the New York Design Center's Suite 715, houses Dunham's two established, beloved product brands, Hollywood at Home and Peter Dunham Textiles, under one roof. Occupying roughly 3,500 square feet in the New York Design Center, Dunham intertwines made-to-order and in-stock furnishings with vintage finds sourced around the world. Accessories like handwoven bedcovers, stitched leather trays, artisan ceramics, and decorative pillows by the dozen are available to grab and go. Textiles for the indoors and out, wallpaper, and grasscloth are on full display with patterned surfaces designed to inspire.
