Job Description

Ross Alan Lumber is seeking a highly experienced and driven Outside Sales Representative to expand our presence in a large, multi-region territory. This is a business development role focused on growing relationships with trade showrooms, designers, architects, and luxury residential and commercial clients. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated and results-oriented professional who understands the nuances of high-end case goods and architectural millwork. We are looking for reps in the Midwest region, greater Chicago area, and East Coast.

Our reclaimed materials are hand-selected for their character, patina, and history, transforming century-old barn wood into modern design statements. We believe in simplified sophistication, modern nostalgia, and playful, unexpected texture, and we seek a sales professional who can share this vision with the luxury market.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain relationships with trade showrooms, designers, architects, and builders, driving new business within the luxury market.
- Educate clients on the craftsmanship, sustainability, and design potential of reclaimed and specialty woods.
- Prospect new leads while maintaining regular contact with an existing client base.
- Consult on materials and finishes, guiding clients through selections that best fit their projects.
- Meet and exceed sales goals by presenting and selling Ross Alan Lumber’s premium case goods and wood products.
- Prepare and submit quotes, maintaining accurate records of client interactions and sales activity.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution from order to delivery.
- Stay informed on design trends and materials, positioning Ross Alan Lumber as an innovative leader in the luxury wood industry.

This position starts as commission based with opportunity to discuss base salary dependent upon experience.

Job Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience in outside sales within luxury furniture or textiles.
- Strong business development skills with a demonstrated ability to generate leads and close deals.
- Deep appreciation for craftsmanship, sustainable materials, and high-end design.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with a keen eye for design.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with experience using CRM systems.
- Ability to travel regularly for client meetings and industry events
