Birgit Klein Interiors is looking for an experienced Office Bookkeeper & Assistant to the Principal.
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the studio, providing essential administrative and operational support to the design team and the Principal. Excellent communication skills, attention to details and ability to multitask is key. You will mainly be responsible for accurately recording accounts payables/receivables. A strong understanding of the financial process is required.
Responsibilities:
Record and maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely.
Verify, reconcile, and process invoices, purchase orders, and payments in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Collaborate with the project designers to track and record project-related expenses, ensuring they are properly allocated and reconciled.
Ability to prepare and review financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Assist in the preparation of month-end and year-end financial statements.
Conduct periodic audits to ensure data accuracy and identify discrepancies or errors.
Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies.
Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
Work closely with the accountant and owner to provide support during audits or financial reviews.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes as required.
Stay updated on relevant accounting principles, regulations, and industry trends.
Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
Proficiency in accounting software and tools (e.g., Design Manager, QuickBooks, Excel).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, excellent organizational and time management skills.
