Job Description

As the New York Sales Representative for Designerie, you will bring an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for luxury, European-designed furniture. This commission-only role is ideal for a sales professional with an established network in the high-end hospitality and contract segments. You’ll serve as the face of Designerie in New York, driving revenue growth by building and nurturing relationships with upscale resorts, hotels, and interior designers who seek timeless, exclusive furnishings.

YOUR CAPABILITIES ARE
- Proven experience in luxury furniture sales, with a focus on the hospitality or high-end design sectors.
- Strong network within New York’s luxury hospitality and contract industries, particularly in hotel and resort segments.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to articulate Designerie’s brand values and product benefits to sophisticated clients.
- Results-driven mindset, with a proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets in a commission-based role.
- Knowledge of European design trends and familiarity with designer furniture collections is preferred.

Job Requirements

WHAT YOU WILL DO
-Client Acquisition and Relationship Building
-Identify and engage potential clients within luxury hotels, resorts, and high-end hospitality groups in the New York market.
Establish and grow long-lasting relationships with industry stakeholders, serving as a trusted advisor to clients on designer furniture needs.
-Actively participate in industry events, including trade shows, design showcases, and networking opportunities, to represent the Designerie brand and cultivate relationships with industry professionals.
-Regularly meet with clients to fulfill sample requests, ensuring timely delivery and accurate representation of product finishes.
-Leverage industry knowledge to identify new business opportunities and expand Designerie’s presence within the market.

Sales and Revenue Growth
-Drive sales by strategically presenting Designerie’s product lines to align with client needs, trends, and design objectives.
-Leverage existing network connections and prospecting skills to exceed revenue targets.

Market Insights and Reporting
-Stay informed on market trends in hospitality design and European furniture, providing feedback to Designerie to refine and adapt product offerings.
-Track and report on sales progress, customer feedback, and competitive activity in the New York market.

Product Knowledge and Presentation
-Maintain expert-level knowledge of Designerie’s product lines, showcasing the unique value of each collection and its origins.
-Conduct engaging presentations and client meetings, positioning Designerie’s furniture as the premier choice for high-end hospitality needs.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
-5–10 years of experience in A and D sales, with a proven track record of achieving or exceeding targets in the home furnishings or related industry.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain lasting client relationships.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing successful sales strategies
