Job Description

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Designer / Procurement Specialist to collaborate closely with the Principal and Lead Designer on all aspects of the design process, from concept to final installation. This role involves conceptual design, design development, FF&E sourcing, procurement management, and project execution for high-end residential interiors.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. They should have a strong design sensibility, excellent problem-solving skills, and a meticulous approach to project execution. This role requires someone who can balance creativity with efficiency, manage multiple moving parts, and ensure that every detail aligns with the design vision.

Some days are more hectic than others, so we need someone who is resourceful, flexible, and maintains a cheerful outlook while juggling multiple tasks.

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities:
•Assist in all phases of project development, from initial design to final installation.
•Develop design presentations, including mood boards, material selections, and CAD drawings (floor plans, elevations, electrical plans).
•Source and specify materials, including furniture, fixtures, lighting, and finishes.
•Prepare and maintain project documentation, including specification schedules and timelines.
•Manage all aspects of FF&E procurement, including:
-Producing detailed drawings for custom-fabricated furniture.
-Creating work orders, tear sheets, and purchase orders.
-Communicating with vendors to ensure order accuracy and specifications.
-Tracking orders, managing inventory, and coordinating deliveries.
-Overseeing quality control at receiving and storage warehouses.
-Managing client billing and generating proposals for payment.
•Liaise with vendors, architects, contractors, and other trades to ensure smooth project execution.
•Conduct site visits to monitor progress and assist with installations.
•Organize and manage the sample library and maintain project binders.
•Run errands as needed to support project logistics.
•Support all team members throughout the design process, stepping in where needed.

Job Qualifications:
•5+ years of experience in interior design, preferably in high-end residential projects.
•Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field.
•Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Suite, and Dropbox.
•Experience with Studio Designer is a plus.
•Strong understanding of custom furniture design, window treatments, and high-end materials.
•Knowledge of construction, FF&E procurement, and project management.
•Ability to read and interpret construction documents, create lighting plans, and draft elevations.
•Excellent communication skills.
•Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
•Reliable transportation.
•Willing to go the extra mile.
•Must love dogs!
