BarlisWedlick’s interior design team is in search of a short term, seasonal full-time employee, beginning mid-April 2025 through the summer. This position will be in- person in our Tribeca office to collaborate with the design team. We need someone who is New York based and is comfortable participating in job site visits and installations in the Hudson Valley, CT, and more.
Junior Interior Designer
Professional degree strongly desired and minimum 1-year relevant professional experience required. This position provides assistance and collaboration with all design staff. Supports the design development and delivery of projects from concept to expediting to installation.
Daily responsibilities:
• Drafting technical drawings, including furniture plans, floorplans, renders, interior elevations, and custom furniture drawings
• Track and monitor client and vendor payments
• Communicating with vendors and workrooms
• Preparing PAs, WOs, invoices, proposals, etc.
• Assisting with installations and styling
• Managing the materials library
• Assisting with project photoshoots
- Candidates must have a strong work ethic, be self-motivated, extremely organized, and a team player with can-do attitude.
- Candidates must have a degree in Interior Design or be working towards one and/or experience working in high-end or commercial design.
- Experience in furniture, lighting, and textile sourcing in NYC
- AutoCAD, Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Adobe Photoshop and InDesign proficiency required. Experience in Studio Webware software a plus.
- A license to drive (access to a vehicle a plus)
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
Compensation & Schedule:
• $20 - $30 per hour
• Full-Time in person
