THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a curious, detail-driven Junior Designer to join our studio. You are someone who brings both technical precision and creative instinct to their work — equally at home drafting an elevation and hunting down the perfect vintage chair. You care deeply about the details, you move with initiative, and you understand that great design lives in the specifics.
This role offers close collaboration with senior designers and our principal, with real exposure to every phase of a high-end residential project — from first concept through final installation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
– Drafting furniture plans, elevations, renderings, and custom furniture drawings in AutoCAD
– Conducting image and product research; building mood boards and client-facing presentations
– Sourcing furniture, lighting, fabrics, rugs, and decorative objects that align with each project's singular vision
– Generating proposals, placing and tracking orders, and coordinating deliveries and logistics
– Communicating with vendors, showrooms, workrooms, and artisans on behalf of the studio
– Supporting the preparation of client deliverables and attending client meetings
– Assisting with project installations and post-installation follow-up
– Maintaining and growing the studio's materials and samples library
QUALIFICATIONS
– Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
– 1–3 years of professional experience in a design studio; residential experience strongly preferred
– Proficiency in AutoCAD required; Adobe Creative Suite required
– Experience with SketchUp, Enscape, or other 3D/rendering tools is a strong plus
– Knowledge of Studio Designer or comparable procurement software preferred
– Strong verbal and written communication; polished and confident presentation skills
– Familiarity with LA-area showrooms, trade vendors, textile and rug resources is a significant advantage
– Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable managing multiple projects at once
– A genuine eye for design, an eclectic sensibility, and a collector's curiosity
– Must be a current Los Angeles resident
– Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation required — site visits and vendor sourcing are part of the role
– Occasional travel may be required for project installations and client sites
