The designer’s primary role is to support the senior design team with large-scale residential work.
Responsibilities include:
Supporting Project Managers and/or Project managing construction and decorative jobs
Initial project site surveys and drawing input into CAD
Preparing design drawings for client presentations (furniture plans, elevations, 3-D renderings)
Producing drawings, including custom millwork details, custom furniture designs, and construction sets
Maintaining incoming architectural correspondence and digital drawing folders and systems
Vendor correspondence and order management
Preparing proposals in Studio Designer and managing vendor communication
Placing client orders, managing correspondence with receiving warehouses, tracking orders and planning installations
5+ years of experience in the design field
4 year degree in Interior Design or Architecture from an accredited university
Fluency in Autocad and the Adobe Creative Suite
Familiarity with Studio Designer is preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multitask, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized
Experience with construction management
