Charles & Co (AD100) is a high-end residential and hospitality based interior design firm working with extremely private HNW clients around the globe. We are currently seeking an intermediate level Interior Designer with at least 2 to 3 years of full time experience in a busy interior design studio and who has exceptional AutoCad drawing skills. The successful candidate will provide design assistance to a senior designer but who can also work independently. This position is a hybrid position suited for someone who can work from home and/or in our New York office. **PLEASE ATTACH COVER LETTER & PORTFOLIO TO APPLICATION** - (SALARY: $70,000 - $80,000 depending on experience)
Interior Design Job Duties:
• Have several years of full time project management with residential and or commercial projects
• Experience designing custom furniture and interior joinery
• Manage FF&E procurement for each project including independent and pro-active sourcing of goods
• Produce mood boards and presentations using Indesign
• Maintaining detailed budget spreadsheets in Excel
• Work to project budgets and exercise value engineering solutions where needed
• Experienced at sourcing high end finish materials. Existing relationships with worldwide vendors is essential
• Quickly produce detailed drawings, joinery drawings, elevations and floor plans in AutoCAD
• Experience working with an external renderer
• Strong organizational capabilities with the ability to manage 3 or 4 projects at one time
• Ability to travel to sites within the US, driving license a strong plus.
• Excellent presentation skills and heavy client interaction, both verbal and written
Interior Design Qualifications:
• Computer proficiency (AutoCAD, Excel, Photoshop, InDesign)
• Excellent AutoCAD skills (Revit would be helpful) and experience with Rendered elevations
• BA or higher in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
• At least 3 years of full time work within an interior design studio
• Must be able to efficiently work from home and commute into our central NY office as needed
