Working closely with the Principal, interior designers, consultants, and contractors, the Interiors Architect plays a critical role throughout every phase of the design process—from concept development through construction.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Produce necessary architectural documents from schematic design through construction documentation, including interior elevations and plans, 3D renderings, reflected ceiling plans (RCPs), cabinetry and millwork drawings, tile layouts, custom furniture drawings, and finish plans.
• Create and maintain finish schedules, door and hardware schedules, tile and stone schedules, plumbing fixture schedules, and other project specifications as required.
• Utilize AI tools for client visuals and presentations
• Collaborate closely with the Principal and design team to translate the design vision into technically sound, buildable solutions while maintaining design integrity.
• Coordinate architectural details with consultants including architects, builders, landscape architects, and specialty consultants.
• Prepare drawing packages and presentation materials for client meetings, design reviews, contractor coordination, and project approvals.
• Review architectural plans and field conditions to identify opportunities, conflicts, and potential construction issues before installation.
• Respond to contractor/architect requests for information, review shop drawings and submittals, and provide clarification during construction.
• Coordinate custom millwork, cabinetry, stone, metalwork, hardware, and other bespoke architectural elements with fabricators and artisans.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with vendors, contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and fabricators while ensuring the highest level of craftsmanship and quality control.
• Manage specific project installations, punch lists, and final quality reviews to ensure execution aligns with the firm's standards.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or Interior Architecture.
• 5+ years of experience in luxury residential interior architecture or architecture.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (required), 3D rendering programs
• AI experience within the design industry
• Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, detailing, and building systems.
• Passion for timeless, detail-driven design and exceptional craftsmanship.
• Demonstrated experience producing detailed millwork and custom cabinetry drawings.
• Thorough understanding of construction documentation, specifications, and consultant coordination.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a multidisciplinary design team.
