Ava Gray Interiors is seeking a reliable, organized, and energetic Interior Design Assistant to support our design team with day-to-day operations and project execution. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in interior design who enjoys variety, hands on work, and being part of a creative environment. All candidates must submit their resume to show past experiences. Applicant must have superior organizational skills and attention to detail. Responsibilities include:
• Assisting with walk in clients
• Handling of department mail
• Ordering office supplies
• Check deposits
• Running errands as needed (gas allowance provided)
• Ordering of samples for interior designers
• Maintaining of design center (putting away samples and keeping items organized)
• Assisting with design and staging installations
• Assisting with staging removal of accessories
• Representing the company and assist designers by attending vendor meetings and installations on job sites as needed
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
• Interior design experience or related educational background preferred
• Degree in Interior Design is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive attitude, flexibility, and willingness to help where needed
• Organizational skills
• Knowledge of office procedures
• Ability to multitask & work in a fast-paced environment
