Arthur Dunnam for Jed Johnson is a boutique Interior Design firm in Manhattan specializing in high end bespoke interiors for clients all over the country. We custom tailor each project aesthetic to fit our client’s vision, allowing us to have a diverse and unique portfolio. As a small sized firm, you will be able to wear many hats, and have great potential for growth.

The design assistant position at AD for JJ is a pivotal part in our company, working directly with a senior level designer to assist in all aspects of the design process from start to finish. Role will assist in sourcing FF&E, design presentations, site visits, vendor correspondence, creation of proposal packages, ordering of client selections, tracking selections, and installation of final project. This role is a great opportunity for an eager to learn, highly motivated individual to grow their abilities as a designer.

Job Requirements

- Minimum 1 year experience within an Interior Design internship or assistant-level role
- Be a resourceful problem solver
-Self-starting and detail-oriented
- Can-do attitude with eagerness to learn and grow
- Demonstrates an understanding of the overall design process
- Highly productive and organized
- Able to multitask while working on multiple projects
- Dependable and punctual
- Effectively communicates in person and on the phone
- Not afraid to ask questions
- Ability to troubleshoot when faced with roadblocks
- Professional demeanor and able to be client-facing
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Ability to travel for out of town jobsites
