We're looking for a dynamic Interior Architect | Project Manager to join our avant-garde design studio. In this role, you'll manage multiple, high-end projects while driving our studio’s commitment to creative, detailed, and client-centered design. Working directly with the Principal Designer, you’ll blend creativity and technical skill, ensuring the flawless execution of each project.
Responsibilities:
Project Management:
-Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
-Manage project schedules and updates to keep projects on track and within budget.
Communication & Onsite Management:
-Resolve architectural queries, monitor quality, and ensure adherence to construction documents.
-Perform site inspections, facilitating clear communication with contractors and stakeholders to resolve any issues.
-Documentation & Record-Keeping:
-Maintain project records, finances, and contracts, ensuring accessibility and accuracy.
-Lead OAC meetings and promptly report relevant updates.
Procurement Management:
-Oversee ordering, scheduling, and expediting to align with project timelines.
-Manage data entry and procurement schedules, ensuring tasks meet Aquilo's standards.
Drafting:
-Lead architectural drafting, creating detailed drawings and construction documents that specify materials, dimensions, and methods.
-Revise and finalize construction documents, addressing any discrepancies.
Leadership & Mentorship:
-Delegate tasks to junior staff or outsourced teams, supporting training on studio standards.
-Conduct regular updates and schedule necessary site meetings.
Qualifications/Requirements
-Proficiency in office, design, and architectural software, such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and GoogleDocs
-Expertise in interpreting drawings, blueprints, and plans, with the ability to revise drawing sets expediently
-Exceptional communication, leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills
-Advanced experience with construction, millwork, and design terminology
-Advanced experience in vendor and construction communication for multiple projects
-Knowledge of preparation for meetings with clients, contractors, millworks, and vendors
-Familiarity with Studio Designer preferred
-Able to manage and report progress and schedules to management
-Responsive and collaborative in creating a shared calendar for tasks and appointment
-Experience in organizing samples, client binders, site binders, and project boards
-Local to San Francisco or Oakland and able to work in the office at least three times per week
-Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture
-Minimum 6 years' experience in residential and/or commercial design
-Organization, punctuality, and attention to detail
-A positive attitude and a flair for whimsical design
