Job Description

• Must have the ability to properly load and off-load FF&E ensuring that all materials are secured appropriately to avoid damage while in transit and during the off-loading process
• At times must serve as the Lead Installer and supervises and coordinates installation activities during installations with local crews
• Must be able to properly install furniture, fixtures, equipment and like items as directed by the Installation Manager (or design client if Installation Manager is not present)
• Must be able to properly place furnishings, fixtures, equipment and like items having knowledge to read and decipher furniture plan layouts
• Must be able to assemble various types of furniture, fixtures, equipment and like items
• Must be able to make installation related decisions without extensive supervision
• Must be able to hang and security mount artwork of all types and sizes
• Must ensure safety procedures and protocols are followed according to safety training modules
• Must be able to complete and submit project related paperwork at the close of each project (includes, but is not limited to, expense reports, timesheets, load out sheets, client-signed documents, project closure reports, etc.)
• Must be able to perform ad-hoc installations
• Must possess the ability to multitask and have excellent planning and organizational skills
• Must maintain a good, professional relationship with designers, vendors, consultants, and contractors and have well developed interpersonal and communication skills
• Must be able to provide execution plans for project installations when attending pre-installation meetings with design team members, contractors, and others
• Must be able to oversees timekeeping and verify timesheets for accuracy of installation staff while onsite and during project loads
• Must be able to perform local pickups and deliveries using company owned vehicles

Job Requirements

• Must read, write, and speak English fluently
• Must possess excellent leadership skills, interpersonal communication skills, as well as problem solving capabilities
• Must exhibit professional appearance and mannerisms; no visible derogatory tattoos; no facial piercings
• Must possess the ability to multi-task and juggle changing priorities
• Must possess the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external clientele and management
• Must possess the ability to work efficiently and independent of direct supervision
• Must be skillful in the use of pallet jacks, dollies, furniture movers, and hand trucks
• Must have the ability to work with bar code scanning and inventory control devices
• Must be flexible and versatile possessing the ability to cross-train for other duties vital to daily workflow
• Must have valid Texas Driver License or Commercial Driver License and a reliable vehicle and have the lawful ability to drive to and from work
• Travel is required; Must be willing to travel; Position requires heavy travel during varying peak installation times
• Must be able and willing to work on construction sites and in non-conditioned environments
• 2-years minimum FF&E handling, delivery, and installation experience
• Educational Requirements: High School Diploma, Associates degree, or equivalent experience
• Expected to work in warehouse or at jobsites Monday – Friday: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; overtime is frequently required

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to carry, lift and/or move up to 75 pounds on a consistent basis. The associate is frequently required to stand, walk, and/or climb. While performing the duties of this position, the associate is subject to a warehouse environment where temperatures can vary from very cool to very warm. The associate is also exposed to outside weather conditions.
