We are seeking motivated and dynamic Independent Sales Representatives to join our team.
The ideal candidates will be responsible for driving sales, building relationships with clients, and promoting Hickory Chair's extensive range of high quality furniture products .
This role is an independent and flexible sales position which is paid on a commission basis and potentially allows you to co-represent other non-competing home furnishing lines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, designers, and retailers.
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to showcase Hickory Chair’s offerings.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to implement promotional strategies and campaigns.
- Attend trade shows and industry events to network and promote the brand.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the furniture or home decor industry.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse clientele.
- Self-motivated with a results-oriented approach.
- Knowledge of furniture design and trends is a plus.
The Hickory Chair Furniture Co. began over 100 years ago in Hickory, North Carolina with a single product and a simple vision. The product was a made-to-order dining chair. The vision was to combine the authenticity of classic craftsmanship with the efficiency of modern manufacturing. In the decades since, our product range has evolved into an assortment of timeless designs, drawn from significant periods and places, and from the talents of some of the world’s most respected designers.

Our style is still distinguished by an authentic, timeless spirit. And our furniture is still made to order and made to last, by a team of talented and attentive artisans.
