Position Description
The Hospitality & Commercial Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying new opportunities, developing client relationships, and growing The Future Perfect's presence within the hospitality and commercial design community.
This is a highly relationship-driven role focused on building connections with architects, interior designers, developers, hotel groups, purchasing firms, and other project stakeholders. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and energized by creating opportunities through outreach, networking, and relationship building.
Primary Job Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain relationships with hospitality designers, architects, developers, purchasing firms, hotel groups, and commercial design professionals
• Generate new business opportunities through proactive outreach, networking, industry events, project research, and client meetings
• Maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities and actively manage projects through the sales cycle
• Identify projects early in the design and specification process and position The Future Perfect as a valued project partner
• Collaborate with internal sales teams and vendor partners to develop project-specific solutions
• Prepare presentations, proposals, and materials for client meetings
• Track activity, opportunities, and client communication through Salesforce and other internal systems
• Develop a strong understanding of The Future Perfect's designers, makers, artists, and manufacturing partners
• Represent The Future Perfect at industry events, trade shows, networking functions, and client presentations
Key Qualifications
• 3–7 years of experience in business development, sales, hospitality, commercial interiors, architecture, design, luxury furnishings, or a related industry
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills
• Comfortable developing new business through outreach and networking
• Highly organized with strong follow-through and attention to detail
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
• Genuine interest in design, architecture, art, and craftsmanship
• Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms preferred
