White Arrow, an interior design studio specializing in high-end residential projects, is seeking a creative and skilled designer with strong drafting abilities.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Collaborate with the design team to develop projects and drawing sets.
- Possess an excellent sense of color, proportion, and knowledge of both contemporary and historic design.
- Be interested in emerging designers, learn about historic and modern design, and be eager to learn.
- Create custom furniture and millwork drawings.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and clients.
- Organize and maintain the material library.
- Research products, source fabrics and finishes, and gather samples and quotes from trade vendors, vintage sellers, and small design studios.
- Assist with both digital and physical presentations.
- Coordinate the fabrication of custom items, oversee any deficiencies or returns, and work with vendors to make repairs or rewiring.
- Attend studio visits, showrooms, and construction sites.
- Take detailed notes during site visits and client meetings.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in high-end interior design.
- Bachelor's degree in interior architecture, interior design, or related field.
- Proficient in Photoshop, AutoCAD, and Rhino.
- Capable of diligently creating architectural drawings, schedules, and quotes.
- Detail-oriented individual with strong time management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong command of the English language for handling phone calls, taking detailed notes, and writing professional emails to vendors and clients.
- Applicants must reside in or near New York City, as this is an in-person role.
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Should be comfortable traveling to showrooms, running design-related errands, and attending site visits in the tri-state area.
