Erica Burns Interiors, a high-end residential interior design firm, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Drafting Specialist to join our team. This person will work collaboratively with the team to create detailed drawings to support the project. The position can either be part-time (minimum of 20 hours/week) or full-time. The position can either be in-person or hybrid, but not fully remote. In-person hours will be based out of our Washington, DC office. Responsibilities will include:
- Set up project files in AutoCAD based on company standards.
- Produce and manage construction drawings, including but not limited to: floor plans, interior elevations, millwork detailing, lighting, tile layouts, and custom furniture.
- Oversee drawing revisions and ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards and project requirements.
- Confirm and verify as-built conditions through site visits.
- Generate 3D renderings.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience using AutoCAD to create highly detailed drawings.
- An understanding of ArchiCAD is preferred, but not required.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and English language skills.
- Excellent computer skills and familiarity with Google Sheets.
- Highly organized, detail oriented, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Able to work independently and solve problems creatively.
- Access to a car (projects are located throughout Washington, DC, MD, and VA).
