K. Moorhouse Design is seeking a talented, full-time Design Assistant. We're looking for someone who is not only technically skilled but also excited to help build a growing design studio. The ideal candidate is proactive, resourceful, highly organized, collaborative in a fast-paced studio environment. Candidate will work directly under Principal Designer.
Day-to-Day Duties will Include, but are not Limited to:
-Create and manage project budgets, schedules, installation timelines, and project to-do lists.
-Prepare materials for client presentations; schedule and attend client meetings, site visits, and installations.
-Create and maintain detailed paint, lighting, plumbing, hardware, and tile schedules for contractors and project teams.
-Assist with furniture plans, elevations, and construction drawings using AutoCAD
-Support project procurement, including purchase orders, vendor correspondence, tracking shipments, monitoring lead times, and resolving order issues
-Assist with installations, photoshoots, and project travel as needed.
-Daily upkeep of sample library & studio space
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design preferred
-1-3 years of experience with a high-end residential interior design firm
-Proficiency in AutoCAD is required
-Experience with Studio Designer is a plus
-Exceptional attention to detail with outstanding organizational and follow-through skills
-Strong verbal and written communication skills
-Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and Canva
-Knowledge of luxury furniture, lighting, fabric, and accessory vendors
-Ability to prioritize multiple projects and manage deadlines from design through installation
-Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
-A proactive, positive attitude and willingness to contribute wherever needed.
-Salary commensurate with experience
