McGrath II, a high-end interior design firm based in New York City, seeks a detail-oriented and technically skilled Design Assistant for a full-time position supporting the firm’s project managers, senior designers as well as the senior partners at our office. This role may require travel to project sites. This is a full-time position, offering competitive compensation, health insurance, 401K, paid vacation and holidays.
Job Requirements
- MUST have excellent CAD skills
- AAS degree, or other BA
- Experience with Studio Designer software is a plus
- Must be very detail-oriented, organized, and willing to step in when needed with a can-do attitude
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Key responsibilities include:
- Drafting furniture plans and elevations
- Preparation of proposals and purchase orders using Studio Designer software
- Procuring estimates from trades and vendors
- Coordinating deliveries and shipping for purchases
- Maintaining client files, and materials in a precise fashion
- Preparation of client presentations using InDesign
- Site visits as needed and assist Project Managers with installation oversight
