Kemble Interiors is seeking a positive, highly organized, and technically skilled Design Assistant to join our Palm Beach team.

This position is ideal for someone who is creative, resourceful, detail-oriented, and eager to be involved in all aspects of the design process. Our office is collaborative and fast-paced, and we are looking for someone who can manage multiple priorities, anticipate what needs to happen next, and move projects forward with accuracy and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the interior design industry and is comfortable communicating with vendors, fabricators, contractors, architects, clients, and other members of the project team. Strong written and verbal communication skills, professionalism, and a positive, can-do attitude are essential.

Responsibilities include:
-Assisting the designer throughout all phases of the projects, from concept through installation
-Preparing client presentations, tear sheets, and physical and digital design boards
-Sourcing furniture, lighting, fabrics, wallpaper, accessories, art, and finishes
-Coordinating with vendors and fabricators on pricing, lead times, availability, samples, and product details
-Preparing estimates and purchase orders and tracking orders through installation
-Creating and updating floor plans, furniture plans, elevations, and design mock-ups
-Maintaining organized project files, specifications, selections, and samples
-Coordinating deliveries and installations with vendors, warehouses, contractors, and project teams
-Assisting with site visits, installations, styling, and photoshoots

Qualifications:
-2–3 years in a design assistant role or related experience
-Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field preferred
-Proficiency in AutoCAD and Google Drive is required
-Experience with Studio Designer
-Strong knowledge of furniture, fabrics, finishes, sourcing, and purchasing
-Highly organized, detail-oriented, resourceful, and proactive
-Strong written and verbal communication skills
-Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
-Professional, collaborative, and comfortable communicating with clients and industry partners
-Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
