A high-end residential interior design studio based in Lower Westchester County is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Design Assistant to join our practice.

The Design Assistant will work closely with the Founder throughout all phases of the design process, providing creative, technical, and project support across sourcing, presentations, drawings, FF&E documentation, vendor coordination, procurement, site visits, and installations.

We are looking for someone who is proactive, accountable, organized, and detail-oriented. The right person takes ownership of their work, communicates when clarification is needed, and cares deeply about accuracy and beautifully executed work.

Responsibilities include:

*Source furniture, lighting, accessories, materials, finishes, and furnishings based on creative direction.
*Research products based on design intent, budget, dimensions, lead times, and project requirements.
*Request and organize vendor pricing, samples, CFAs, finishes, and product information.
*Create tear sheets, FF&E schedules, renderings, and client presentations.
*Produce and update CAD floor plans, elevations, details, and millwork drawings.
*Maintain accurate schedules, specifications, and project documentation.
*Assist with purchase orders and verify product specifications.
*Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, specifications, samples, and lead times.
*Assist with order tracking, deliveries, installations, damages, claims, returns, and exchanges.
*Attend site visits, project meetings, installations, and photoshoots as needed.
*Maintain organized project files, samples, materials, and vendor resources.
*Assist with trade accounts, meeting notes, and design-related marketing as needed.
*Maintain accurate time records and complete assigned work within established deadlines.
*Work independently while communicating effectively with the design team.

* Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design required.
* Minimum 2 years of professional interior design experience.
* Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD.
* Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign and Photoshop.
* Experience with rendering software.
* Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Resourceful, proactive, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
* U.S. work authorization required.
* Genuine interest in high-end residential interior design.
* Ability to commute independently to the Lower Westchester office and travel independently to NYC and other project locations as needed.
* Ability to travel out of state occasionally as project needs require.

Experience with Studio Designer or similar interior design project management/procurement software is a plus, but the ability and willingness to learn new systems is more important.
