Opened on May 16, SALON Design + Gallery, a conceptual space hosting designers, artists and manufacturers, has opened up shop on Manhattan’s West Side, near the Hudson Yards. Serving as a shoppable home for high-end residential and hospitality products and collections, the space currently holds pieces from 42nd Street, Nancy Price Interiors, Wesley Hall, Robin Baron Collection, Kelly O’Neal Original Artwork, Nourison, In2Green, William Geddes, Amalia Home Collection, Bunakara, Kenian, Lacefield Designs, Old Biscayne Designs, Simply Down and Westfall & Kitson.

Designed as a curated showroom and resource for architecture and design firms, the space will house pieces that can be custom-made and ordered or purchased off the floor. The showroom was founded by Dwayne Clark and Bob Gaynor, who are also founders of Dwayne Clark Interior Design Management Group. “SALON happened naturally, as Bob and I needed a larger office space for our parent company, D.C. IDMG, and our interior design consulting business. This expansive, high-ceilinged loft was the ideal creative space where we could meet with clients and manufacturers and develop products,” says Clark.

He shares, “With the thriving residential and commercial growth happening on Manhattan’s West Side and the proximity to the design trade shows we attend yearly, it was an easy choice! The concept of including a design gallery that would also serve as a showroom to the trade was a natural progression of our overall business.”

Nancy Price, of Nancy Price Interiors, shares: “It gives me the greatest joy to be showing in SALON Design + Gallery. I am thrilled Abby [Price]’s artifact art and our antiques will be available in the Northeast for all the world to see.” She says another benefit is that “SALON will be the perfect place for the strategy and design of commissioned pieces to take flight! And besides, the owners, Dwayne and Bob, have mastered the art of networking and I see a wide-open opportunity for all involved. My bags are packed and I plan to be in New York City often.”

The showroom is open to the trade only, from Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., by appointment. Designers, architects and publications can call 646-571-2007 or visit SalonDesignGallery.com to reserve an appointment. SALON Design + Gallery is not open to the public.
