The AIA New York Chapter of the Committee on the Environment announced the three winners of its second annual AIANY COTE Awards, which go to projects located within a 200-mile radius of Central Park. Inspired by the COTE National Awards, the AIANY COTE Awards celebrate sustainable design, and “promote greater understanding of design strategies that reveal and inspire new materials, technologies and design solutions.” This year's winners include:

2015 AIANY COTE Award for Townhouse
NYC Passive House + Net Zero Rowhouse Prototype (Brooklyn, NY)
Paul A. Castrucci Architect

2015 AIANY COTE Award for Multifamily
Via Verde — The Green Way (Bronx, NY)
Grimshaw Architects and Dattner Architects

2015 AIANY COTE Award for Institutional Building
Weeksville Heritage Center
Caples Jefferson Architects

An awards ceremony celebrating this year’s winners will take place December 7 at the Center for Architecture, and will include conversations between jurors and the winning teams.
