In addition to his roles as principal of The Roger Thomas Collection and EVP of Design for Wynn Resorts, interior designer Roger Thomas will now take on the immediate task of shaping product strategy for Quintus, a furniture and lighting manufacturer headed by longtime industry executive Jobst Blachy.

They first worked together when Thomas created a furniture collection for Edward Ferrell and Lewis Mittman eight years ago, when Blachy was president there.

“I look forward to contributing design ‘conversation,’ opinion, point of view and direction,” Thomas said of his new role. “Quintus has an exciting opportunity to grow and create a new place for itself as routes to market evolve in the industry.”

Though others were interested in investing in Quintus, Thomas was the ideal choice because of his status within the industry, according to Blachy. Thomas’ knowledge of and passion for the design industry should help Quintus achieve its desired success.

As Quintus expands into new markets, it is pursuing nontraditional sales routes, striving to create a direct relationship with designers by providing a concierge service through its regional sales representatives.

Quintus makes all its products in the U.S. and will unveil a new furniture collection in May.
