Pratt students explore "Body and Mind" with Herman Miller

"Body and Mind", a collaboration between Herman Miller and the Pratt Institute was presented during ICFF. The exhibition highlighted furniture designs by both undergraduate and graduate students from Pratt's Department of Industrial Design. The year-long project challenged students to create designs that balance the body and mind for potential health benefits and to elevate the mood. The students visited the company's Holland, Michigan headquarters to learn about manufacturing, environmental and healthcare consideration involved in production.

This is the second time that Pratt's Department of Industrial Design has collaborated with Herman Miller. The first was for a project called "Empathy for Culture" that debuted at the 2010 ICFF.
