Matsuoka, the 150-year-old, family-owned Japanese company renowned for its contemporary furniture, is debuting at the A. Rudin showroom in the D&D Building this month. The new collection was designed by artistic director Christian Lyon, an Australian interior and furniture designer who joined Matsuoka in 2014, and it was developed in collaboration with artisans and craftsmen.

“We are pleased to welcome Matsuoka to our New York showroom,” says Spencer Rudin, principal at A. Rudin. “Their workmanship is extraordinary, and the collection really complements the other lines we represent at the D&D. We look forward to a long and successful partnership.”

Christian Plasman, president of Matsuoka, shares, “We are delighted to be with A. Rudin. They are the ideal partner for us in the New York area, and we look forward to a great partnership.

Matsuoka is also represented in California, by Witford showrooms in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Laguna Niguel. Learn more.
