After a 23 year hiatus, Lord and Taylor will re-introduce a home department on the 9th floor of its 5th Avenue flagship featuring Lauren Home Gallery by Ralph Lauren home and Calvin Klein Collection's Studio and White label.

According to a report, the re-introduction was made due to customer requests for more one-stop shopping.

The new showroom features 19 beds and six set tables. Product categories include bedding, tabletop, gifts, decorative accessories, rugs and lighting. Furniture, lighting and rugs will be shipped from the licensees with same-day delivery.

In honor of the reopening, House Beautiful and five designers including Brad Ford, Phillip Gorrivan and Todd Klein have created chic tabletop tableaus for holiday entertaining, which will be unveiled at a launch party on November 4.

Pending a successful launch, Lord and Taylor intends to roll out the concept in more stores next year. The retailer operates 48 stores nationwide and two outlets.
