Keser Design is looking for a mid-level Interior Designer to join our growing residential studio on a freelance, part-time basis. The role is primarily remote, with occasional site visits and in-person meetings throughout Los Angeles.
We are looking for someone with a strong design eye, solid technical skills, and experience independently managing residential design work through multiple phases of a project. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and confident working independently, managing their own tasks and priorities while contributing to a small, collaborative studio environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop FF&E concepts and selections for high-end residential projects
- Source and specify furniture, lighting, rugs, fabrics, upholstery, art and accessories
- Develop client presentations, furniture plans and design documentation
- Support material and finish selections
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, consultants and project teams
- Support projects from concept through installation
- Attend site visits, meetings and installations as needed
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional interior design experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or a related field preferred
- Strong knowledge of high-end residential furniture, lighting, fabric, upholstery and trade vendors
- Strong design sensibility and understanding of scale, proportion, materials and finishes
- AutoCAD proficiency (Revit experience preferred)
- Strong presentation and graphic design skills, with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite; InDesign experience preferred.
- Experience producing construction drawings and technical documentation preferred
- Highly organized, proactive and able to work independently across multiple projects
- Comfortable taking ownership of assigned workstreams and driving projects forward independently
- Strong communication and attention to detail
- Los Angeles-based with reliable transportation
