Interior Design reveals its top 40 residential firms

Interior Design magazine’s first-ever “Residential Leaders” survey analyzed the business operations of almost 200 residential design firms of all sizes and revealed its top 40.

The magazine also revealed information like the percentage of total annual residential projects per category (49% were new construction projects, 43% were renovation and 8% refreshing previous projects); the types of projects the firms worked on (82% of the firms typically work on urban single-family apartments); firms’ top strengths (No. 1 is creating innovative designs); and other key insights.

Among the top 40 firms working on residences of $10 million-plus are BAMO, CetraRuddy Architecture, Jeff Andrews Design, Mark Zeff, Meshberg Group and Vermilion Zhou Design Group.
