Lewis Mittman Hospitality, a division of Edward Ferrell + Lewis Mittman, has debuted. In 2007, Lewis Mittman started producing furniture for the hotel industry in Asia; since then, the company’s hospitality sector has been its fastest growing.

As a result of its Asia-based manufacturing, Lewis Mittman Hospitality has expanded its range of work from producing furniture for public areas to high-end guest rooms. The company is currently working on over 2,500 five-star guest rooms in Asia, Australia and the U.S.

Explains CEO and founder Steve Mittman, “We have proven to ourselves and the market that, with the right in-country personnel and the right oversight, five-star Western expectations can be met by Asian-made products. This has been achieved with a quality control and engineering staff of 15 people in China and Indonesia, as well as my personal involvement on the ground, residing in South China more than half the year.”

Jonathan Houghton has been named COO of Lewis Mittman Hospitality and will be based in Shanghai. Houghton brings recent experience leading a two-year-long project in Australia that included four- and five-star guest rooms and public spaces. Additionally, High Point, North Carolina–based Jamie Hoover was promoted to senior project manager. Mittman will remain as chairman of LMH and EF+LM.
