Four designers will be recognized for their innovation, creativity and imagination at this year's London Design Festival. The winners of the annual British Land Celebration of Design will be announced on September 21 at London's historic Somerset House. A new element to this year's awards is a special exhibition of the winning designers' work, held at Somerset House. The winners will be selected by designers and previous winners of the award, including Dr. Martin Roth of the Victoria & Albert Museum, Paul Thompson of the Royal College of Art, and Justine Simons, Head of Culture for the Mayor of London.

Winners will be chosen across an array of design disciplines, and will be recognized in a ceremony and presented with medals in honor of their contributions to the design realm and beyond, on September 23 at Canada House on Trafalgar Square. The medal is designed by jewelery designer Hannah Martin and represents the London bird, the Cockney Sparrow, in flight.
