Architizer recognizes 150 firms for A+ Awards

Heatherwick Studio, Studio Gang and James Corner Field Operations were among the winners of Architizer’s third annual A+ Awards. A total of 150 firms and companies received the distinction, decided by juried and popular votes in 90 categories, representing a diverse and global selection of projects. Winners will be recognized at the Architizer A+ Awards Gala on May 14 in New York City.

“Every year, the [Architizer A+ Awards] grow both in terms of the quantity and the quality of the entries, and the excellence and diversity of this year's 150 winners is proof that we are truly in a golden age of architecture,” said Marc Kushner, CEO of Architizer.

The jury of over 300 industry leaders included Iwan Baan, Charles Adler, Sou Fujimoto, Natasha Jen, Tom Kindig and Beatrice Galilee. Popular choice winners were chosen by an online public vote where over 40,000 voters from over 100 countries participated.

Architizer will also present Special Achievement Awards at the May ceremony, honoring those who have raised awareness and made significant contributions in the field. A compendium of winning projects will be published in collaboration with Phaidon.
